Indiana
those cast aluminum parts, get a wire wheel, steel or brass, mount that on a bench grinder and you can make those old dull aluminum parts shiney again in just a couple minutes, don't push too hard or the wires can make brush marks in the metal but then again depending on what you are doing that may be a benefit and that will work for any aluminum part, stat housing, manifold, alternator case, valve covers just remember that bare clean aluminum will not like to get wet like mag wheels, you need to use some type of protectant coating or wax afterwards to keep it that way for smooth surfaces like intercooler tubes, get a rag wheel and some compound to use on the other end of your grinder hand file and wire brush, file some more and some more and we had to add in some metal on the corners as it went along and eventually it can look like it was made that way not modded, I didn't get a finished picture and the truck isn't around here any longer for me to get a close up but I made those two parts match on the top and sides -its takes some time ( allot of it ) http://www.b2600turbo.com/images/IM000736.JPG http://www.b2600turbo.com/images/IM001302.JPG http://www.b2600turbo.com/images/IM001304.JPG http://www.b2600turbo.com/images/IM001329.JPG Edited May 11, 2008 by Indiana
