MmSadda
I apologize in advance if this is one of the more redundant questions you guys get, but I'm having trouble finding a technical/basic mods FAQ. Is it possible to do a direct swap of a 14b turbo onto an 86 Starion ESi-R? If not, what modification is needed? How much power would this turbo be good for at a normal 8-11PSI? importwarrior
no usualy the turbo will need modding for sure.
MmSadda
Well, in light of this, are there any quick, easy turbo swaps for these cars?
TopDawg_43
The 14g is right above a stock turbo. If you get a 14b turbo that's setup for a SQ, it will bolt right on. The hot-side of the turbo has to be a TD05. And the cold side has to be clocked in the correct direction. You can have a stock turbo upgraded to 14b(g) really easy. Most go with a 16g.
