Chad
Ground up resto I don't think the last 6 digits became the sequential/serial specific to a product line untill 85, it's defined in the first part of the manual. I have an 83 manual somehwere to confirm, but I'd have to dig to get to it. If that were sequential serial, that is #500,004. I belive that means it was the 500,004 th car made that year, all models included. Several manufactures use "all models included" vin numbering systems to this day. What is the door jamb production date? the fin indicates it's an '
slowquest
That's a Corporate car, VERY rare. Built 5\18\83, got to the office on 10\21\83. X15 Selbia Black, also shows as California emissions? Wonder what the difference was there?
Crazy larry
Build date July 83 correct it's a fun car to drive been a great daily driver for 4 months But was purchased for a donor engine. Fairly straight needs a windshield, Heater control, and has water leaks not good for Washington. When I got it the Tps was missing the vacuum advance was disconnected. Vacuum hoses went to the wrong ports. Cts was not hooked up. Oil leaks, and leaky coolant tubing. And it had a Shucks fuel pump installed in the fuel return line against the flow. Ran pretty rough but I drove it home 54 miles
