I'm trying to convert the engine in my montero to 87 starion specs. The motor has been rebuilt with Wiseco 8:1 92.5mm pistons, non-jet head with 1mm oversize valves and a stock 87 starion cam with stock non-roller lifters. I'm doubting my ability to hook up the ECU, harness, relays, etc. in my driveway as I have not done this before. Can anyone recommend a shop in GA that has starion experience to get this going for me? I have the manifolds, turbo, 1g maf upgraded airbox, hard pipes for the IC, braided oil and water lines, factory oil cooler, factory IC, etc.

I don't know of any shop but why do you think you can't do it yourself??? Who has done all the work so far?

Check this out here:

and here's a long discussion on it:

I don't see why you can't do it yourself, it shouldn't be as hard as it looks, just will take some time.

IF you want a shop, you have a PM

but my recommendation? Offer a 6pack of beer and lunch/a bbq and get some of us locals to help connect things up ( have a day to get a majority of it out of the way )

I'm thinking now to just take a few days off of work when its warmer weather and knock it out. I'm a regular on the 4x4 mitsu board. there are several guys who have done this locally-- or should I say a couple hour's drive away. I'm just worried that I'll get it all hooked up and it won't fire because I overlooked something that an experienced Starquest owner would have seen right away.
