Wizard
I was wondering if there are any date codes or vin stampings that match the S/N#'s or vin on the car that it came from? I was reading my service manual on my 88 Conquest and I see the automatic tranny has a date and s/n# stamped on the back side of the auto tranny but did not see anything like this for the manual tranny in the service manual? chuck641
I know this is a little late but, Yes, there is a vin stamped on the manual tranny.
Wizard
where exactly is it located? My service manual for the conquest doesn't show one on a 5 speed manual but shows one for the automatic. Thanks, Wizard
chuck641
on the top of the bellhousing right next to the edge where it bolts to the engine.
Wizard
Yes, I finally found it today, located on a stamped pad just like you say where it is opposite side where starter goes in. Anyone get one of these things rebuilt lately? What is the ballpark cost and is it difficult to get parts for these anymore? Wizard
