101PROPOSE Posted May 15, 2007 Author Report Share Posted May 15, 2007 some members asked me which wires i used get the power to the gauge kit. sorry for the delay answering that question as my cluster was off the car for taking pictures and finally put it back on today. i got ground and ignition wires from the big harness on the right side of the cluster. i used ignition wire so gauges light up with my key on but if you want them to turn on with your headlights, you can hook up red wire to green/white. thanks,101 **** this is off of my 87 starion and for reference purpose only. use at your own risk. your harness might be different. please check with a multi-meter to make sure **** http://www.101propose.com/starquest/harness.jpg Quote Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...

pitboss Posted June 6, 2007 Report Share Posted June 6, 2007 Just wanted to update everyone about these gauge overlays. DO NOT overtighten the screws, especially the speedo and tach. You'll start to twist the clear overlayment on the brand new overlays and I don't think you can untwist it or unass the look of it #-o Also, the blue is very nice, but the green isn't really green at all. It's more of an aqua color. I was hoping the "green" would match my boost gauge light condom, which is a real green, but the el glow green isn't really green.
