Star_V8_Quest
This was used to build my quest and it is a good platform i think for anyone wanting to start a v8 swap. http://www.kabamus.com/garage/motorswap/invent.html
Vanishing Point
Thanks I added that to my favorites.I was thinking of dumping the Quest #-o and get a C4 Corvette for the V-8 engine.I have gone as far as I want with the 4cylinder drive tran and am really in need of more engine. Quests were designed for a light 4cylinder engine. I like a balanced well handling car and most v-8s add to much weight to the front end of the car.But an aluminum LS1 would be just the ticket.A really nice quest will fetch $4-5K and a nice C4 is more like $15-22K. I could swollow $15K-20K for a radical Quest, but I dont think I can muster $25-32K for just another Hot rod Vette. Enough rambling Tony
Boosted_One
Is it possible to get a twin turbo'd say LS/LT1 or Mopar 318/360 in the engine bay? Or even supercharged? I'd really love to do that one day. I want to twin turbo a V8 and just get all nuts...in a different Starion though...
smog
the toyota quad cam 1uzfe is another good canidate for a swap, aluminum block, super strong internals, good for boosting after doing head gaskets and arps. 4l engine at that. smog
Nice to know it doesnt feel real front heavy, since my 1jz weighs a lot, maybe 450lbs plus a much heavier transmission. I pretty much doubled my hp too though

Finding room for the supercharger will be a challange.Im thinking do over also. The car I have now is set up pretty good. Eventually it will end up a parts car. Starion88esir
star V8 - Did you set your engine back at all? I'm currently looking at putting a 318 in mine, (would have to set back a couple of inches) but I'm currently looking for a 440 that I can afford to fill up the bay, and was wondering what method you employeed to mount the engine if you did set it back. natedog_37
I have seen a 440 in a quest. problem is there is no room, so you have to use the stock headers. Which on a mopar suck. i would think a 360 turbo would be nice

Truth
This was used to build my quest and it is a good platform i think for anyone wanting to start a v8 swap. http://www.kabamus.com/garage/motorswap/invent.html hey man, i read your website. but i don't know how you got beat by an RSX with your quest. i mean, with the exhaust, 1g mas, and 15psi there's no hope for the RSX. i'm not knocking your swap, the swap is great. very nice in my opinion, but no sense in dogging the stock powerplant, eh? what do you have done to the motor that it makes twice the g54b's hp? did you dyno it yet? are you going to dyno it this weekend when we're down there at Jon's? i look forward to seeing you there, i've never seen a swap in person before. take care. Star_V8_Quest
this is not my website.the method used to build ted's car was used as a blueprint to build mine. The car who built mine consulted with Ted in helping him build this car.Lost to a RSX?nope, not me...and yes..i will be there to dyno the car.what's been done to the car?You can take a look at it tomorrow or Saturday.I am not sure what she will pull on the dyno.Once I know,Then I will know what else I can throw at it to up the HP.
