DJpowerHaus
We need an audio section. Speakers/ amps/ headunits... etc...
BuzzKill
I like this idea as it seems a large percentage of StarQuest owners have aftermarket audio systems. It would be great to be able to read about what people have done. It might be something that we could add to the Mods section.
DJpowerHaus
For instance... I want to know how to wire 2 headunits up at once... I want my MP3 player in there but I love the stock unit too...
88BlueTSiquest
DJ, It's much more work than it would be worth. First off you'd have to build a switching system, so that you can seperate the outputs of the 2 units, so that one unit isn't trying to drive the other's ouput section. If you were to build it with simple SPDT relays, then you'd be looking at approximately 8-10 relays. In all reality, the designing of the circuit and cost of the relays alone wouldn't make it worth it for most decks, much less the stock unit. mquester
I know of a 3000 gt where the guy took the stock faceplate off, hinged it, and has his sony hooked up behind it. Its like the opposite of a removable face...a stock face the covers the actual radio. Looks stock with it on, tilt up and off and its a sony. Conquest351
I agree we need to put an audio section on here. Just for refrence and for people to help each other out on how to install such and such in their StarQuest.
