Arnold
Hey, I'm all over this one. I am building the engine right now and I have been checking into a lot of different systems and haltech seems to be the one for me. I like the price here and I've got the green so I'm good to go! Maybe we can help each other out during the tuning process too. Also, it would be cool if we could find some one that is already runing haltech on a starion that would make us copies of there disc. That way we would not be completely starting from scratch. Or at least get some advice. Thanks! Arnold

TopDawg_43
This is reply that I have as far as the E11, E6H, and E6M; At Present the E11 systems are not available from Haltech, I am waiting for an answer from Haltech as to I when I can get some of these. I expect it will be several months away from full release. The E6H and E6M systems are essentially a cut down version of the E6K units at a slightly cheaper price. The E6H will take a digital input for the crank/cam sensors (such as a Hall effect or an optical sensor such as those in the Mitsubishi's and Nissans)...It also has 4 PWM's less than the E6K and lacks the on board barometric pressure sensor that the E6K has. The E6H is available in 2 formats ... E6H and E6H-8.. The difference in these 2 options is the injector drivers .. The E6H will run 4 low impedance or 8 high impedance injectors and the E6H-8 will run double that .. 8 low impedance or 16 high impedance. The E6M will accept magnetic or digital inputs (as per the E6K) but also lacks the 4 PWM outputs and the baro sensor. The E6M is also available in 2 formats ... E6M and E6M-8.. The difference in these 2 options is the injector drivers .. The E6M will run 4 low impedance or 8 high impedance injectors and the E6M-8 will run double that .. 8 low impedance or 16 high impedance. All E6K's are in the - 8 format standard. Other that that the E6H and E6M are pretty well the same thing as the E6K. Hope that helps. MarioG
Do you guys think there will be a possibility to get the E11. Isn't that suppose to be very good, with the 3D mapping... it mignt be worth it for all of us to lock a price in now on the E11 and place an order.. anyway, i need an e-management system and it looks like it will either be the E6k or the E11, depending on what everyone decides.. my zip is 07079 let me know what we are gonna do thanks mario
Joel
I'm running an E6K with hall effect from SDS. I didn't have to use ANY of the PWM outputs, although I decided to wire the thermofans to one. It is not nessisary, and the software to tune it is more intuitive then most I've seen thus far. Just a thought for those of you that are thinking about haltech, the cheaper units may do the job for you. Joel
89tsi20g
sup guys, could anybody check if E6k and/or E11 take wideband inputs for dattalogging? i need this feature very much, i could not find any info about it on their website but remember someone telling me it does take wideband inputs, anybody thought about going with AEM for 2g eclipses and just using their harness? or maybe mitsu uses the same ECU connectors and we could just run extra wires? i can get AEM for less than $1200.00 plus shipping, rob NJ. The waste gate selenoid is the same as the selenoid that seats on the top of the air box, use that one and save yourself $80. Just wire it up, using the connector from the car, and you'er ready to go.

It has wideband inputs yes. But as with ANY standalone, you need the controller that goes with that wbO2. It will datalog the input (using the SPARE A/D input on the flying lead). 89tsi20g
;D thanks Joel, that's what i wanted to know, their spec sheet on their website does not mention it, i got two complete wide band systems-one from FJO on my Supra and one from here: http://www.techedge.com.au/vehicle/wbo2/default.htm waiting to be installed on my Quest ;D, when i was dynoing my Supra the dyno guy was suprised to see a car so well tuned then i told and showed him the wideband from FJO, it is still tuned on the richer side but it's safe, before i did anything my logger was showing me a/f below 10 hehe, kind of like Mike K dyno graph-way too rich, i posted what i wanted minus the one piece, let us know what's up, any news on E11? rob NJ. Joel
If you use an FJO you will have to use the 6.34U version of the software. I can get it for you if you need when you get to that point. Joel

That one is going on my own car.  I had bid on that before I started the GP.  And at that price , I couldn't past it up.  I don't mind organizing the GP since I found the contact, however if they don't trust me because I'm not buying in the GP, it doesn't bother me.  I'm only doing this to help out my fellow Questers, not for profit.  As a matter of fact, I'm getting out nothing of this.
