GiXeR
Has anyone seen the auction on ebay, with the instrument needles that glow blue??? If anyone has them on, how does it look...
eeaston
Notice that it's not a needle set, just a light kit for the needles. I wonder how good it'd look with the orange needles and blue light? How do you get the old needles off? Â I wanted to take them off and remove the orange paint from the back of the needle and paint them white or blue, but didn't know how to disassemble them. 88ESI-R
To get the needles out you have to disassemble the entire gauge cluster, its not easy and you can mess things up. I have done it so many times now that its gotten quite easy. When you get the cluster out and get to the gauges, you can simply pull off the speed and tach needles, but be careful not to break them as they could be fragile. You may need a small screwdriver or such to help pry them off. As for the little ones, those require actually taking the gauge apart which will more than likely mess up the accuratness of the gauge, trust me I messed up the fuel level gauge and had to keep taking it apart until I got it right. Anymore questions, just ask.
eeaston
Perfect! Thanks for the info. Maybe I'll practice on the ol' boost gauge. I may have to abandon the idea.
