kaaos Posted August 21, 2015 Report Share Posted August 21, 2015 looks like the turbo oil line was filled with a plug and redrilled for higher psi, but less flow, is this normal? and for cleaning the old lines out and oil cooler does a mix of carb cleaner /degreaser /water sound good? scott87star Posted August 21, 2015 Report Share Posted August 21, 2015 Mitsu turbos can take full oil pressure, others require an orifice to limit pressure. Best to review the requirements for the turbo you're running. As far as cleaning I assume you're talking one of those at a time? That would be good, each gets something the other can leave behind. After you're absolutely positive its clean I would give it a rinse with IPA (isopropyl alcohol) to scavenge the last of the water and blow compressed air through until you can't smell the IPA any more.
