I just pulled the motor cause I had low compression in all 4 cylinders and I'm going to attempt a rebuild. Have to finish stripping her down so I can get the block cleaned and bored. Connerf5 Posted August 4, 2015 Author Report Share Posted August 4, 2015 Could a clogged intercooler cause my quest to studder and no boost? When I would get up to about -1 it would just machine gun like studder but the intercooler to turbo hose kept coming off and once that happened I had 7lbs of boost. But it wouldn't run at idle. mechengrkj Posted August 4, 2015 Report Share Posted August 4, 2015 If the top of the motor deck hasn't been ground down, there is a little tab that sticks out on the passenger side front of the engine that should have G54B stamped into the block.
