Dad
Need to clean out oil cooler and lines also, or all that crap will get washed back into your engine.
importwarrior
if the head has been milled or surfaced a lot it could cause a little slack.they sold a shim at one time to take up the slack or difference from the surfaced head.
sn8kes
Dad- no I didn't flush the oil cooler out after rebuild. I will do that before the finish of this year down. TSI-Tom--- yes I did put the washer in place Import Warrior- the head and block was surfaced while out. I was able to find a shim to take up space lost. I was thinking lastnite- and import warrior said the same thing this morning. And when I read it I was a little pi%* at myself, but it's what it has to be. With last issue I had, I think I possibly turned the crank the wrong way to get it back to TDC. And that's the cause of the slack. Beaten myself up here- still going to check all that has been mentioned while the TC cover is off. Didn't run long this way. Maybe 2miles before I was back at the house. Thank you for all yalls input.
