randomguy
Below is an update to my build thread. As you can see in the pics, it looks terrible. I don't want to delete things blindly, bc i don't want various things like wipers and stock controls/displays to stop working. Anyone have good looking Bay? What are some things you see that can be safely removed on this megasquirt sq. I haven't updated in a while only because I got busy with 100 things. So to recap, I found out why it has been so sh7y all this time. The head was all out of wack. All 4 cylinders had a max of ~60psi during a compression test. Took it to the trusty folks at Ball Engine and Machine in lilburn (the same people who put the motor together when I got the forged pistons, nitride crank, baller rods, etc 7 years ago) He made the head as good as new again... surfaced the face, new valve guides, seated, the works. It's baller except for we already stripped 2 sets of threads that hold the rocker assembly on...So more delays. here are some pics:http://www.g54b.com/IA/july14/starion-7006.jpghttp://www.g54b.com/IA/july14/starion-7008.jpghttp://www.g54b.com/IA/july14/starion-7009.jpghttp://www.g54b.com/IA/july14/starion-7012.jpghttp://www.g54b.com/IA/july14/starion-7014.jpghttp://www.g54b.com/IA/july14/starion-7016.jpghttp://www.g54b.com/IA/july14/starion-7018.jpghttp://www.g54b.com/IA/july14/starion-7024.jpghttp://www.g54b.com/IA/july14/starion-7026.jpghttp://www.g54b.com/IA/july14/starion-7032.jpghttp://www.g54b.com/IA/july14/starion-7033.jpghttp://www.g54b.com/IA/july14/starion-7035.jpg
Fuze
Deleting the giant rear ABS canister will clean up the turbo side and make some room. You just need to run a brake line straight from the master cylinder to the proportioning valve to eliminate it from the system.
