608leng
Just fixed my hatch struts, for the wiper, rear defrost and brake light. Everything went from dead to working but my center brake light comes on when I'm not doing anything i.e neutral no gas no rear wiper turned on. But when I turn my rear wiper on or press on the brakes my center brake light dies, so I'm assuming it has to do with the wiring. Was looking on threads to find what wiring it was and couldn't find it, so if anyone could share some insight to help me, thanks in advance. psu_Crash
Check the contacts on your hatch struts, there are 3 of them. Sounds to me like you may have them clocked wrong. I'm not sure of the proper orientation without looking but I know you can have them turned and still close/make contact. Edit: So the defrost and rear wiper work just fine? Hmm ... I could be way off then. Did you physically remove any of the wiring in the hatch? Edited April 8, 2014 by psu_Crash
Turboat
UN plug the turn signal stalk wire plug and see if the third brake light goes off, sounds like the same issue I had when my turn signal stalk went bad
