hopefull noob
I have different types of questions than the standard. 1. Does anyone have a favorite, reputable, place to purchase Tees? I can find a few places that have 3mm tees, but just looking for suggestions. 2. What is the cylinder thing in the corner of the engine bay in the passenger side corner with the firewall? Its bolted on the very top, and has a vac line running to it, and mine has an open rubber connection underneath the line. 3. Two lines over between the PS resevoir and the firewall on the passenger side, have white connections in the line unlike anything else I can see. Is that stock and needed or was that the previous owner doing repairs? Sorry for the newbie questions, but hoping for some help. -hn
JAinsworth
On number 3, you need to keep those. They are directional for vacuum/boost conditions.Jimmy

hopefull noob
Thanks for the quick replies. I will get some pictures tonight, and try to get a photobucket account to put them up. But on question 3, is there a way to tell which direction they are supposed to face, since they are directional? -hn
JAinsworth
The arrow on them goes on the intake manifold side of the line, iirc.Jimmy
hopefull noob
Thank you Sir Jimmy. I dont think the hose I purchased is going to fit completely into them, might have to trim a bit off the od, butfeel wierd about doing it. And as promised, here are the pictures. Question 2. http://i890.photobucket.com/albums/ac110/iramsey8765/Sharon/IMG_20131108_155437_622_zpsed98fe2d.jpg http://i890.photobucket.com/albums/ac110/iramsey8765/Sharon/IMG_20131108_155354_778_zps8237bd7b.jpg Question 3. http://i890.photobucket.com/albums/ac110/iramsey8765/Sharon/IMG_20131108_155420_333_zps19d1a612.jpg http://i890.photobucket.com/albums/ac110/iramsey8765/Sharon/IMG_20131108_155409_080_zpseda80a13.jpg Edited November 8, 2013 by hopefull noob
JAinsworth
The arrow on them goes on the intake manifold side of the line, iirc.Jimmy That may not be clear enough. The arrows point towards the intake.Jimmy
hopefull noob
Yes, the little points are going back to the intake manifold. So one question answered. Thank you! -hn
importwarrior
those are for the cruise control like a electric valve when boost kicks in.the little white things are check valves to prevent boost from going back towards thecruise control canister.the check valve, Black round cylinders in the corner basicallythe vacuum pump in the front of the car next to the radiator overflow it kicks inwhen boost is applied from the turbo and the check valves ( white) and thoseblack electric checks i believe redirect the flow so the vacuum pump keeps thefoot face actuators and cruise control functional when boost is applied. hopefull noob
OK so the black cylinder vents to maintain foot\face actuation, it's the open connection that makes me wonder? And any ideas on buying new tees?
importwarrior
The one closest to the fire wall is supposed to be openended. As far as Tee's. I would Google that. Or post in items wanted section.
