DieHARDmitsu.
Anyone running an Odessa cylinder head? Reviews?I spoke to the gentleman at Odessa and he said the valves on their G54Bt heads are from TEP. Still, not sure if stelite exhaust valves are used. Edited May 1, 2013 by DieHARDmitsu. Dad
It surprises me that a large builder of heads would buy their valves from TEP? Dad
DieHARDmitsu.
That's what he said, it could be bull for all I know. Just checking to see if anyone has lost a valve on one of these cyl. heads yet. Edited May 1, 2013 by DieHARDmitsu.

Guest
It surprises me that a large builder of heads would buy their valves from TEP? Dad Yeah no kidding. At the wrecking yard, we used to buy all our stuff wholesale. I can't imagine a rebuilder paying retail.
Shelby
not sure about them but the average head rebuilder sends out standard non turbo heads and stock non turbo springs unless you special order some thing diff
DieHARDmitsu.
Well just to clear the air, I called back Odessa and spoke to another guy who works there. I asked him if the exhaust valves on the 2.6l head are suited for turbo application and he said for Starions and Conquests heads, they used Stelite exhaust valves. So its a little reassuring that he knows the difference.
Dad
Gotta try the math, they buy their valves from TEP? Tep shows, 80 bux, maybe they get a discount??? they sell a head for $305.00 add valve cost, springs, retainers , spring seats and keepers plus labor to assemble the head. ?? hard to believe, but ya never know.
