Is there a pressure test I can run on a dry system prior to filling with oil ?

I'm only asking because google brings me nothing but tests I can run against a car filled w/ oil and engine running.

Thanks

not sure what your asking,, no there is no diognastic test to test an engine for oil pressure with out it running , it would not tell you any thing use full any way,the test port is way to small for the entrance of enough oil to make testing possible ,also there are more then one supply port that feeds the engine , install a mechanical gauge and check the actual oil pressure with the engine running

many don't realize it but pressureizeing the oil system does not provide any oil to the main and rod brgs sept what little works thru the oil pump gears and to the port for the main and rod oil passage

but it realy don't need to if the engine brg's were oiled when installed,, all you need is for the oil pump to start working asap
