timmyj
i installed a new msd box. did the msd check and there is plenty of spark at the coil. now i can not get spark from the dizzy. new cap, rotor, msd box, coil. its mpi and stock dizzy. not sure how to test the ballast resistor for ohms or how to check the dizzy. these r the only two things left that i know of. any help is greatly appreciated thanks tim
scott87star
There is no ballast resistor, how are you triggering the MSD? The stock dizzy can't do it, you need a cr125 ignition pickup, go to the autozone website and search cr125. You also need to pull up the output from the cr125, do you know how or have a wiring diagram for the MSD install?
timmyj
yes i have the cr125. not sure how to check that. or to see if it is working properly i hooked it up exactly the way it was. one wire at a time. car ran great last year pulled it out of the garage and now no spark, Edited April 14, 2013 by timmyj
