artinist
these XXRs are lightweight and great looking. best of all they come in sizes and offsets that fit the starion without spacers and are only $500 to $600 for the set 527 and 530 styles come in the following sizes17x9.75 +25 and 17x8.25 +2518x9.75 +20 and 18x8.75 +20 52118x10 +20 and 18x8.5 +25 52617x10 +20 and 17x9 +25 http://www.nlmotoring.com/XXR-Sportmax-Wheels-s/32.htm

nomofwd
Ive had the 521s on my list for awhile now and there are pictures of a quest on here with a set mounted. They definitely need spacers but that is easy to accomplish. They LOOK like they don't but sit pretty far in. The +25 with a 25mm spacer would likely make it damn near perfect and like you said... budget friendly when compared to other wide, lower offset wheels. polarisman14
Yeah IMO if you're going for nice fitment and a really nice look on these cars the best bet would be the 526s@18x9/18x10.5 staggered fitment. Haven't done the homework on the fitting yet but if you're going solely for looks vs ride quality 18s are the way to go on these cars. That's what my next set of wheels will be, definitely. With the 2.75 lip up front and 4.xx in the rear that'll look pretty serious. Edited June 16, 2012 by polarisman14

polarisman14
Did a little research for fitment and it appears these are close to where my current saleen replicas are. I'm running inch and a quarter spacers all around, the fronts fit perfect with the mookeeh camber plates maxed out but the rears need another half to three quarters worth of poke per side for the fitment to be perfect. Figure 2" spacers for my setup to be ideal. The fronts on the 18x9 XXRs will sit 5mm further in so you'd need 1.5" spacers in the front and the rears on the 18x10.5s would sit 12mm further out so you'd need 1.5" spacers there for that to be ideal as well. Of course this is all theoretical but it'd at least put you in the ballpark for correct fitment--1.5" spacers plus the 18" 526s with lowest positive offset possible will put you there. button
I have http://www.nlmotoring.com/XXR-002-Wheels-15x8-Black-p/00258082.htm on my arrow.I love how they look, and they gave me a wider stance and really filled out the wheel wells.http://ilostmymind.c...16_21.36.48.jpghttp://ilostmymind.c...17_20.39.05.jpgI would like to do chromium black 522 on the wide body, but they don't come in 5x114.3 with 0 offset. I think someone here has them on a flatty though. Edited June 16, 2012 by button
SFBMX88
I have read that XXR quality isn't the greatest, yet they have the JWL and VIA marks on their wheels. Anybody have any input in regards to this? There are many pictures/threads of failed XXRs, although I the 530s in 17" would look pretty good on the flatty... conquestador89
if you want the xxr521 i'd rather go with varrstoen 1.1.2...better offsets...single bolt pattern...
strang3majik
Everybody around here runs xxrs and I've yet to hear one issue with them. They're tanks, and seem like nicely built wheels. Only issue I know of is that the finish chips easily.
attack vector
I have XXR 962's on my MR2. A ton of the MR2 guys hve been running XXR wheels for a long time now as a great-looking, cheap alternative to a high end fancy wheel (Work, SSR, etc...) They've proven themselves to be a solid wheel that doesn't easily crack or deform. Yeah they're heavy and the finish is cheap. But in a pinch they're solid and look fantastic! artinist
I have the 530, build quality looks very good. there pictures of them broken at the track but then there also pictures of other expensive wheels brooken at the track also. none of which tell a backstory of how or why they were broken. any wheel that has VIA certification is ok in my book. TurboJace
Funny you posted this specific question . . Installed only bout a month now XXR 527 17x9.75 front . . 18x9.75 rear Not necessarliy staggered, because any width size less than the 9.75 in these wheels are more flat . .as I wanted the 'concave' look all around http://i398.photobucket.com/albums/pp69/turbojace/DSC03317.jpg http://i398.photobucket.com/albums/pp69/turbojace/DSC03311.jpg http://i398.photobucket.com/albums/pp69/turbojace/DSC03313.jpg http://i398.photobucket.com/albums/pp69/turbojace/DSC03309.jpg http://i398.photobucket.com/albums/pp69/turbojace/DSC03310.jpg http://i398.photobucket.com/albums/pp69/turbojace/FogLights1.jpg

TurboJace
Hey thanks for the compliments fellas . . Yes I'm running spacers: Ichiba Version 217mm front38mm rear *Must admit just the concept of a wheel spacer has always been a verrrrrry touchy and skeptical subject for me But while gradually going through the gears and up in mph, paying attention for any weird sounds or vibrations . . I look down only to read 110mph on my speedo, LOL No issues whatsoever
