Killtodie
I have some brake dust that did not come off with decent scrub, what can I use to remove the stuff? Any decent cleaner that takes the dust off or just some polishing?

koulbreeze
I have had very good luck with S.O.S. pads with the soap in them, but thats only for highly polished chrome rims like on the montero, the quest had some sort of plastic film on hers but they were trashed in the first place, so I tried and it scratched that film but where there was no film it cleaned it to a nice bright dull, but clean none the less lol. so id say only on very shiny chrome try them, the soap also helps to repel water when you rinse them off when the truck gets back from its fishing trip to MN, ill post some better pics of the rims this all i have of them nowhttp://i370.photobucket.com/albums/oo141/koulbreeze/202.jpg Edited May 26, 2012 by koulbreeze

Guest
It may not be brake dust. Once its embedded in the clear coat forget about it. I've got some 7's" with that problem, only solution is to polish them down to bear aluminum.

BC_99
^^^LOL^^^ if the Mr clean sponge doesnt do it It probably just needs to be stripped and polished. BC_99
Sonny_Jim
They make that spray on paint stripper. I used it and it worked awesome to take the clear coat off. Then some mother's and a power ball. Didn't take too long to do either.
