movin on
I am looking at buying a msd 6al for tbi with the rev limiter feature. The only problem I am running into is there are four types of msd on summit and many more on ebay. Which one should I be looking at? I.E. 6420, 6440, 6240, etc. I am guessing an analog style. I know I need a msd8910 tach adapter and an rpm chip and I have found the adapter, but I am not familiar with the rpm chips. If anybody could help fill me in, it would be appreciated. Also, I was told that installation is simple and was wondering if there is anything specific I need to know when installing one on a quest? movin on
It's definitely a start. Maybe I can compare features and the wiring. It should be pretty close to the same if it isn't.
Caliber308
I run the Summit Street and Strip Muliti-Spark Digital Capacitive Discharge Ignition Box. For the money, it works exactly the same as the more expensive MSD 6al. And it comes with a Rev Limiter built into the unit. Part no. SUM-850610. Price $149.95. intense98rt
I'm using the msd street fire box. Works fine and is cheaper than the 6al. I bought it for the rev limiter.
