randy
What do you peeps have to say about the haltechF10x system? How would you rate this system? Is this just a basic system?
ucw458
AEM is better. That haltech F10x has the same plug my AEM ems-4 has. It only has 36 pins. Based on that the F10x is batch fire while the AEM is sequential. The F10x has 4 general purpose in/out the aem has 8. The aem can control 4 individual coils and 4 individual injectors, the F10x can't. The aem has CAN port that you can connect a 4 channel O2 sensor box for individual cyl tuning, F10x doesn't. Not to mention the F10x is no longer made so the only units to be had are used. The only F10x listing I found on ebay way buy it now for the same price as the AEM EMS-4. I chose the AEM. Hope that helps
nomofwd
I have used an f10x to tune a turbo mazda3 which wouldnt allow control of ignition timing.. hence this particular setup. In short, I hated that fool ecm. The controls were rudimentary and not fine enough, the boost control was senseless and it would constantly bug out and require a reload of the tune. And it was brand new. Did it work? Yes. Did it work for what it cost? God no.
