Today i finally got a chance to pull the motor and swap bottom ends. I noticed that the turbo's internal wastegate had no vacuum lines to the ports and that the wastegate exhaust side was blocked off with a plate. now the car still boosted 17psi, and i have not done any mods to the car yet. Is this something that is common on these cars? i can tell the car has been slightly modded before. any ideas? Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
Skullzaflare Posted October 5, 2011 Report Share Posted October 5, 2011 the wastegate is behind that platesounds like the vac line fell off while pulling the motor, it would boost more than 17psi without it hooked up, your going off an aftermarket gauge right? I'll be sure to route some vacuum to it. it made no sense to me but then again maybe there was some weird trick that i havent known about or something. thanks for confirming.
