I got tired of the conquest so I bought another 240sx.

Got in nov. '10 for 700 bucks. 5spd, 313k, se model. Bone stock.

When I got it:

Then I put coilovers, 5 lug, J30 brakes, 180sx lsd on it and stole the wheels off the conquest:

Then came time for cooler wheels and a turbo:

Then after 2 pulls on the highway on 18psi with the original 313k motor this happened:

The oil pan was full of piston rings lol.

So I replaced the motor and kept it on a more reasonable 10psi for awhile and focused on making the car look cooler:

That got boring so I got an Holset hy35 and some kelford cams:

I put my weld's on the back because it seems to help the clutch slip less than carrying those heavy tail 18's. (I bought a spec stage 2 but I haven't put it in yet):

The car has been running since feb on a bone stock motor with well over 200k (well I did put a fresh fel pro hg on it before I put it in lol).

Since I put the holset and the kelfords in it i've been running it on 15psi with the rev limiter set to 7400rpm everyday. This is how it runs:

Looks good man. To bad about the engine. I'm sure you'll get it going again. My question is how do you feel about the 240 compared to your quest like over all and performance. What do you feel is a more gun and reliable car?

The problem with my conquest is just that its an old car. It was constantly breaking, constantly needing something. Personally I like the way the starquest looks significantly more than an s13. The interior in a conquest is nicer than an s13, but performance isn't really a fair comparison between the 2.

all this money spent and you have yet to fix a single dent in it. I can see why your conquest kept breaking on u.

I think I see the correlation now. I should have done bodywork to fix how unstable this car used to be. I don't know what I was thinking when I replaced all the control arms and bushings. When I got my conquest I should have painted it instead of replacing the 02 sensor, vacuum advance, vacuum lines, fuel pump, fuel tank, clutch, turbo, brake pads, spark plugs, spark plug wires, coil, ignitor, ecu, throttlebody gaskets, injectors, injector clips, and doing a distributor rebuild. I wish that I knew that spending 300 bucks to buy supplies to fix dents and paint my car would let me avert spending thousands to make my cars reliable and fast.

Sounds about right to me.

With all that power why does the KA turbo get such a bad rep? Why do a Sr20 when KA-T is that good?

Also, What size tires are on these front and rear (9s and non- shp 8s)

People think they blow easily. Most people think you can throw an SAFC and some old sr injectors on the car and go do burnouts forever. The only motor I'd ever put in this car besides a KA is a gen III/IV SBC.

205/40/16 Front. 225/50/16 Rear. The car was rediculously low on those wheels with that tiny tire on the front. I destroyed the oil pan on a manhole cover one night lol.
