rockvilleash1976
I am not a Turbo expert so I will tell you what I was told when i bought this.17C off GMC cyclone this mounts up to a Starion manifold but will need a external wastegate set up or a custom bracket made to hold wastegate acuator. As you can see this turbo is in good shape and there is not shaft play. It is a low milage turbo I was told only 5K on it but no way to support it either way its a good turbo. $400.00 Plus shipping Paypal prefered. http://i158.photobucket.com/albums/t110/rockvilleash1976/CIMG1022.jpghttp://i158.photobucket.com/albums/t110/rockvilleash1976/CIMG1019.jpghttp://i158.photobucket.com/albums/t110/rockvilleash1976/CIMG1020.jpghttp://i158.photobucket.com/albums/t110/rockvilleash1976/CIMG1021.jpg
Casey_L
Does the wastegate move? Is it welded shut?
rockvilleash1976
It does move. It has not been welded shut. I planned to have a local machine shop make me a bracket to hold the wastegate acuator. I just never got around to it.
Bag-O-Chips
That turbine wheel doesn't look right... It looks the the clearance between the Exducer and the turbine housing is a bit excessive.
Funky Phil
yeah, very curious the specs of the hotside. has it been machined?? turbine wheel changed?Might remove the turbine housing to do some measurements.....
LEPORE
the stock 17c syclone/typhoon turbos are all T3 flanged. must have been changed or midified to fit the Starquest mani. Edited May 16, 2011 by LEPORE
rockvilleash1976
I took a better look at the turbo today and the hot side wheel has been machined down to fit the housing. I have been told that this set up is very good for TB car for good power and little lag. Here is another picture that might help you see the hot side wheel. It looks like about a 8th inch clearance from the wheel to housing. If you are interested in this shoot me a PM I will take a reasonable offer. http://i158.photobucket.com/albums/t110/rockvilleash1976/CIMG1031.jpg Edited May 17, 2011 by rockvilleash1976

OPTIMUSPRIME
Looks like a factory TD05 exhaust housing and turbine wheel with a 17C compressor wheel and housing.
rockvilleash1976
The wheel does fit in the factory TD05 housing. I have another TDO5 that is all stock and this turbo will clamp. The TDO5 housing pictured has had some proting work done for better flow but the section for the wheel is all stock.
Indiana
I think you got screwed when you bought it. You can't have that huge gap around the turbine wheel something is wrong. The shaft is wrong or the housing is wrong. Take that V band clamp off and what does it look like? Ya it will lag alright,
