Yeah it's a glorified toyota the guy thought he was cool with his tinted windows dual chrome mufflers and nice rims. I must admit the car looks hott....haha but unfortunately for him I was to hott to come close to. I wsa driving home taking the back roads out here in Oxnard Area. We were on a 2 lane backroad highway and it was about 6 in the afternoon. The sun glimmered and glistened off of the clear coat on my red beauty. In my rear view mirror I see some HID lights coming fast and I make out the L Badge. I say to myself some spoiled brat coming my way better slow down and let him pass me. Well I did just that I slowed down and he wouldnt pass me instead he rode my bumper. I assume that was his way of saying lets run. We had a huge stretch of open road and no cars in site.

I decided to accept this vigilantes offer to race me. So I downshift into third and then gas it a little my car jumps and then I decelerate he then pulls next to me and floors his farts cannons. That lexus motor I must admit modded or not has some decent pull. What he didnt know is that I just recently upgraded to an aluminum drive shaft that and the combination of 373 gears was the nails in his coffin. Needless to say we were neck and neck until I shifted from third to fourth and it was all over from there. I easily picked up about 1 1/2 cars length on him and it spread even more after that. The guy got back behind me and well he didnt ride my bumper after that. He was polite and gave me a thumbs up before turning towards MUGU Base. So he was a military type I also noticed his military sticker on the window. Most of those guys have nice cars and usually modded. I dont know if that Lex had anything or what their HP numbers are but it sounded decent while it ran by my side unfortunately that was only for about 3 seconds before I shifted on him and said buh bye.

One thing I really love about the suspension set up I have is that the rear lower control arms I bought from Maximum Motorsports have a tendency to almost dip the rear end and keep it low while the car picks up speed. The stability in the rear is amazing. Gawd that combined with my Bilsteins is an awesome combo. Oh and before I forget I was running my Nitto NT01 tires that day. I had just gotten my car aligned in camarillo all negative camber baby this thing grips.

no pix and yeah I love hassling people for no pix but I had to share this kill. It was perfect in every sense and I know damn sure I couldve taken him off the line as well. Pe@ce yall and yes I just recently installed the aluminum drive shaft about 2 weeks ago this kill happened last week. I dont know for sure if the drive shaft made that much a difference since I am running gears already but I assume over all it relieves the drive train some. It is definitely thicker in diameter than the stock one and at first I thought I would have clearance issues but its all good.

yeah tons of mods. I actually have them listen on an older thread but to recap i have done just about every suspension mod since I use this car to autoX. I have GT40 heads, bbk performer intake upper and lower, bbk throttlebody 65mm, 65mm MAF, Electric Fan, Converted to 5speed from an auto, KNN filter, Turbo Coupe Rear End with 373 gears and disc brakes in the rear, Pro 50 shifter, Sub Frames, bilstein shocks and struts poly spring isolaters ford racing c springs, MM caster camber Plates, a lot of my suspension is MM I also have MM lower control arms, I have Nitto NT01's for the autoX in a nutsheel I am putting out just about 250 to the wheels and 300 torque all motor. Oh I also have BBK ceramic coated shorty headers with BBK catted X-Pipe and magnaflow mufflers all 3" piping.

thats a link to an older thread where I list my mods. Since I've added the aluminum drive shaft and started running 91 fuel over 87 I cant believe I ran 87 for so long the 91 made a huge difference. I also changed out the fuel pump and performed a full tuneup. I need to go and get an updated dyno last one had me at 250 I am pretty sure I am closer to 260 to the wheels now. I say thats decent for an all motor older mustang. I am debating on whether or not I want to install a blower. I really love the reliability of all motor. No headaches everything just works. Oh and one thing I did that I needed to do even when I dynoed it I fixed this massive air leak from my lower to upper intake manifold. It had a hairline crack and it whistled. Annoying, and yes I caused it I dropped the mani once and it cracked in a corner. I JB Welded it recently and let it cure for 2 days that not only fixed that issue but I made a huge difference in my acceleration. So that there is the skinny on my CRUSTANG.

I owned a quest before Tech and believe me when I say this if I installed a turbo in my stang it would run circles around most of the quests out there. There is no Replacement for Displacement.

What lower control arms are you running? I have a similar car to yours its 1991 with MM coilovers on teh front and B springs in the rear with poly ISO's and Billstein shocks/struts at all 4 corners. I was thinking about picking up there adjustable lower control arms to give me 4 wheel adjustable ride height. Nice kill btw. Those 250 Lexus' are pretty slow. My freind has an IS300 and its a pooch.
