csdisme
SOLD---Selling my yellow '89 TSI. The car is located just west of Cleveland, Ohio. It has been mildly upgraded with a 14g turbo, Mookeh hardpipes, Mookeh 3" stainless exhaust, Mookeh stainless exhaust header, 1G MAS, 52mm throttle body/manifold upgrade and silicone hoses. It has a factory sunroof and black leather interior. The interior is in good shape with minor wear in the normal places. As mentioned, it is a TSI and I am including a set of polished 8's and 9's. The tires have plenty of tread left. The battery was just replaced and the air dam is intact, although there is a crack in one corner. There only a few issues with car. The first is it will not shift into overdrive, and the trans is slipping a bit. I bought a set of kevlar bands recently to install, but I havent gotten to it. As matter of fact the bands have never been taken out of the box and will be included with the sale. The other issue is what I think is a bad battery ground. The battery shows a full charge, but at times will require a jump to start the car. If you disconnect the jumper cables, the car will run for a very short while then die. Once again, I haven't had time to get into repairing it, but will try to take care of it before the new owner takes possession. The driver's side shoulder belt doesn't work properly. Finally, there is some fading in the paint in some places. With very little work this would be a sweet car. I just have too many thinks going right now and I need to free up some time to get some of these projects done. I'm pretty flexible, and I do have a trailer, so I'm sure we can work something out. I am asking $2200 or best offer. Thanks all in advance and I will answer any questions ASAP. Edited March 5, 2011 by csdisme
DSMconquest
I have an auto trans out of an '89 Quest with 82k miles on it 25 miles south of you in Brunswick, Ohio. Think I have the torque converter and possibly the flex plate laying around too. I ended up tearing it out and swapping a 4g63 in it. Shifted great before it was removed. If you or anyone else is interested come and get it for $75. Edited January 30, 2011 by DSMconquest

csdisme
Sorry for the delay in getting the pictures. I never could find the SD card, and we had a winter storm come through , and as much as I would like to sell the car, I wasn't about to go out and take the pictures in the storm. Today was pretty nice, so I got outside and got the pictures. Thanks everyone for your patience. http://www.chaoticfrenzy.com/images/yellow1.JPG http://www.chaoticfrenzy.com/images/yellow6.JPG http://www.chaoticfrenzy.com/images/yellow7.JPG http://www.chaoticfrenzy.com/images/yellow12.JPG http://www.chaoticfrenzy.com/images/yellow16.JPG http://www.chaoticfrenzy.com/images/yellow17.JPG http://www.chaoticfrenzy.com/images/yellow19.JPG http://www.chaoticfrenzy.com/images/yellow20.JPG http://www.chaoticfrenzy.com/images/yellow21.JPG http://www.chaoticfrenzy.com/images/yellow24.JPG Let me know if anyone wants to see something in more detail, or if anyone needs more information about anything in particular. BandY
What a shame! Hang on to this for a few years, and it should be worth a lot more than 22 hundred. Wow. This car is awesome. Good luck with your sale! I hope someone loves this sweety.

AndyW
I'm starting to shake. The main reason I sold my yellow one was because it didnt have a sunroof. I must convince myself that I soooo dont need another one. For what its worth to any buyer, these transmissions are easy peasy to rebuild. I did a HD rebuild for roughly $250 in parts. And you dont have to be a super mechancis to do it, hell if I did it anyone one can do it.

csdisme
After rereading my original post I can see why you thought I had an extra set of wheels and tires. I apologize for any misunderstanding, but the 8's and 9's I have are the ones that are on the car that I'm selling.
