Hey guys, have been lurking around here abit & I thought I finally post up some progress pics of my 1984 JB Flatty. THe goal is to get into the 9's with the IRS, then go 4-link. (afaik, it will be the only aussie drag starion).

Engine will be a JDM spec VR-4, w/- Rods, Pistons, BC Cams etc

4 x ID2000's, Aeromotive Fuel Pump, methanol (E85 is not ANDRA legal)

Turbo will be a Precision Billet Turbo 6262

V8 C4, manualised, reverse pattern, no transbrake

EMS Dual Sport ECU

26x8.5" tyres

6 welded in cage with drivers intrusion bar (required quicker than 10.99)

Sportsman Parachute (required over 140mph)

SO far only really just about finished stripping it, but now the fun begins. Interior is out, motor, box, tailshaft, fuel tank and std lines aswell.

my personal opinion as far as the cams is dont get BCs there is a reason they are that cheep and they also have the least agressive ramp from any aftermarket company look into Kelford or GSC they cost more but you will be alot happier than BCs

other than that sounds like an awesome build (kinda close to Mine) cant wait to see progress

Thanks guys.

I'll look into the kelford cams.

I'm actually a sales rep for burson auto parts here in sydney, and as a bit of a sponsorship deal with my boss, we are using as many parts on the car as possible, than can be sourced through burson. In exchange, I will get them at cost price. Its kind of like rolling advertising for the shop.

I also have to make the an example of building the car by the ANDRA rule book, as I am a senior ANDRA steward here in sydney.

Has anyone tried using the Moroso sump on a 4G in a staz?
