Chad
commercial grade speaker wire, you can get it in gages from 18 to 10. Also look for microphone cable or other audio signal cables, they too come in different (larger) gages. I have acess to tons of it at wrok, there are many different gages and grades of shielded wire, most of it is commercial stuff, which is why you don't find it in the "depo" or "momo & pop" stores. And yes, it is worth using, I've fixed a lot of issues in industrial aplications where noise was corrupting importatnt telemetry data, and in audio systems where you had a lot of AC noise and feedback. Just be sure to ground the shield at the reciver end (the ECU), and not both end. grounding both creates a ground loop which can be worse than the nose you are trying to shield out.
