Matt300ZXT Posted November 28, 2010 Report Share Posted November 28, 2010 First off I'm in Chattanooga, TN. I'm asking $4000 for the car. It's in great shape, very reliable, and clean. For those who don't know, it's a 250ish hp all alloy v8, 32 valve, 6 bolt mains, and essentially indestructible. It has an auto tranny like all SC400s from the factory. The color is spruce silver and is sort of a rare color. The car is 100% stock except for IS300 wheels, and a MAF Adapter with a 3.5" AEM Dry Flow air filter. Oil every 3k with Valvoline 5w30 and OEM filters since I've had it. It just turned 200k and runs great still. Starts up every morning in the cold or heat and gets me all around town. Everything electrical works except the speedo/tach needles are burned out (common problem) but you can still easily tell your speed, even at night. Also the a/c doesn't blow cold, don't know if the p/o pulled any fuses to disable the a/c system or if it's just bad, I don't know. And the pass. side needs a new window regulator, or the old one repaired, as the window rolls down but not back up. A few bucks in JB Weld to repair it, or $75ish for a used regulator. Wipers, heat, cruise, horn, blinkers, all that stuff works fine. The only thing mechanically the car could benefit from is a valve cover gasket job, and maybe some brakes in the near future. The timing belt still has a s***load of miles before it needs to be swapped as they're 90k mile belts. Anyways, so here's what I want for the car in a trade/sell. The car I'm asking $4000 for, and it does have some spare parts. If a trade is worked out but I keep these that's fine as I can sell them, or if they're traded for extra goodies in the deal, that's fine too. Spare 1UZ with 118k (still together but intakes, exhaust, and a few other small outer parts are removed)-$300BNIB Stainless headers with gaskets-$60018" rims, 8.5 and 9.5" wide for front/rear, rears with never driven on Cooper 275/35/18s-$650LS400 BBK with drilled/slotted rotors-$250 So what I'm looking for in a Quest is a clean widebody, 5 speed only. I really would love a sunroof car but a solid top is fine. No rust whatsoever. If the car is stock that's fine, but I'm perfectly fine with a modified car. The only thing is it has to pass emissions, so no cars with turbo back exhausts unless I can easily get a cat in there for testing purposes. I'm ok with a car needing a paint job as long as cash is thrown in, so I don't mind trading down for the right car. Since I am selling the car and I am not a hack I wanted it to go to a good home, someone who would actually care about it. I went to drive it the other day and the trans made a noise, So if I sell the car or not it is getting replaced. I also finally got front tires for the aftermarket rims and they're all 4 mounted and balanced, the price on those is $900 for all. I can knock some money off here and there for a package deal. I can't exactly drive halfway across the country to see if I like a car in person, and I can't expect a person to drive halfway across the country here. Asking $5500 as it sits, and $6500 as a package price if someone gets the bbk, headers, and spare v8 as well. Will trade down for a Quest if cash is involved.
