movin on
I was first wondering if somebody can tell me the stall rpms on the 88/89 TQ and the 83-87 TQ? Also, I don't understand why people say the engine won't see load at lower rpms because the car is moving, right? I am trying to match up a good turbo for my stall rpms if this is true. I was told "since the stall rpms on your car is up at 2750-3050 on the 88-89, you shouldn't expect to get boost any lower than you are now". If that is true. I might as well get an 18g where I would be making my power up in the high rpms and have a strong pull while I am up there in the rpms. Somebody please explain this to me. Zack_Morris
I see very little truth in what people have told you. The only truth that I see the the stall rpms. If I brake boosted mine, it would build 5-8psi off the line (stalling at ~28-2900). Just stomping it, it would begin making boost as low as 2k. i was at full boost usually no later than 33-3500 on the stock 12a. A S16g will make you plenty happy.
