Alright, so i bought this turbo off of a friend, he thought it was a "14b". Its definately not.

Its got a starquest style downpipe flange.

The compressor housing looks like a 12a, however it appears as if it was bored out to run a bigger cartridge.

NOTE THE GROUND OFF NUMBER ON THE HOUSING. theres a little line of the number left, from where the drill used didnt get. It doesnt look like it would be anypart of a two.

heres a picture of the turbo i just got, and the second picture is a stock 12a housing.

and heres a picture of the turbo in its entirety

so what am i dealing with here? is it a bored out 12a with a 14b or 16g cartridge?

Cause ive never seen a 14b with this style dp flange.

But ive never looked that hard.

whatever it is, its gonna bolt up:)

its got 6 blades so its a g wheel for sure.

14bs have six blades too tho?

Looks like a td04 from a 2nd gen turbo colt.

That happens to have matching numbers to that of a 12a? Doubtful. It would say td04 on it anyways.

Nobody is going to port a stock 12a compressor for a "B" wheel ever. "B" is from a DSM so it might be a DSM cartridge and who knows what size it is until you measure the inducer diameter same goes for the turbine shaft but those are definitely both Conquest stock housings and they can be ported to fit many different wheels.
