Autox77
I have heard of indexing plugs. Do any of you do this? Why and if so to which direction should the gap be pointed? Thanks
scott87star
I used to index plugs, point the open end at the intake valve. Now I side-gap or use the multi-electrode plugs. Scott

You can mark the outside of the plug, like a reference notch.
Richie_Rich
Pretty much a waste unless you are looking for 100th of a second in the 1/4 especially on a hemi head. Normally you point the gap toward the piston top or toward the quench area. The intake valve is already closed by the time the plug fires. You mark the side of the plug and then use spacer washers so the mark ends up where you want it.http://www.summitracing.com/search/brand/CSR-Performance/Product-Line/CSR-Spark-Plug-Indexing-Washers/?autoview=SKU
