pwned
hey guys. im having alot of trouble getting my suspension/shock absorber out, i have taken out both the bolts that are attached to the suspension as well as the long bolt that is thru the clamp type of thingy. i have left the top 3 bolts in which are located inside the boot, as i was told to. but i just cant seem to make it budge at all. should i undo the top 3 bolts? i got told to stick like a screw driver or something in and try and leaver it out. is there a post somewhere with step by step pictures? im on a super slow computer 28.8kbs... -__- so very hard to search. any tips would be great plz/
Indiana
You need to drive a wedge into that gap after you have that long bolt out. While the two little bolts hold the strut on that bolt is there so that flange on the bottom isn't flexing and cracks. It can be a pain to remove but since you have it removed all you need now is open that gap up to about 3/4" then the strut should come out. Since you have it still attached at the top just hit the top edge of the brake rotor a few time and the strut should come out.
TexasQuest
Your talking about the rear struts right? It takes awhile to wiggle the struts out but they'll come out eventually. Just keep wiggling and prying.
