ColdScrip
Well the car cost me $500; it is an 87 Chrysler Conquest - 225k miles. It is in pretty good shape. I'll let the pictures do the talking. Clutch pedal goes to the floor. Some problems with power locks/power windows. Supposedly has a blown motor. Cranks but wouldn't start. Only minor rust on side skirts which will be replaced. Framerails looks perfect. Came with a stage 2 clutch, new timing components, newer head, spare ungutted exhaust, powder coated intake and fuse box, and decent Kumho tires. Some other things I found left me speechless... Here are a few general pictures. http://img241.imageshack.us/img241/8858/pb070057gf9.jpg http://img243.imageshack.us/img243/9084/pb070058yt3.jpg http://img355.imageshack.us/img355/4844/pb070064zv7.jpg Obvious the BOV was sold. http://img128.imageshack.us/img128/646/pb070059ej3.jpg Shot of the interior. It is perfect besides two cig burns in the driver seat shoulder. http://img128.imageshack.us/img128/3536/pb070060ed0.jpg http://img243.imageshack.us/img243/4483/pb070061um9.jpg Shot of the dash. Looks like it came with a steering wheel off an eclipse. http://img378.imageshack.us/img378/614/pb070062lv8.jpg Powder coated intake http://img355.imageshack.us/img355/8550/pb070063pz1.jpg This is where things started to make me laugh. The air dam....is made of...well I'll let you take a look. http://img243.imageshack.us/img243/9492/pb070066ts4.jpg http://img521.imageshack.us/img521/4216/pb070065od8.jpg http://img521.imageshack.us/img521/1442/pb070067xl6.jpg http://img521.imageshack.us/img521/8928/pb070068gz0.jpg http://img47.imageshack.us/img47/7527/pb070069ip8.jpg The strut boot is off the strut...meh not a very good idea. http://img47.imageshack.us/img47/3738/pb070070qx3.jpg This was a joke. They cut the spark plug wires so that they would fit. In fact the 3rd wasn't even plugged in. http://img519.imageshack.us/img519/6408/pb070072gu4.jpg http://img255.imageshack.us/img255/774/pb070073qw4.jpg This is my second car. My dad (Known as Dad here on SQC) and I will be rebuilding the motor. I am extremely excited to rebuild my first motor. I am also getting an 88 fiji in about a week. I really can't wait to tear into these things. In fact I didn't, tonight I drained the coolant, oil, removed the air cleaner and related hoses, removed the fan and radiator, took off ac lines from compressor. It was scary though, there was not a lot of coolant in the car. The oil drain plug and oil filter were HAND TIGHT I actually didn't even need a socket to unscrew them. SCARY. It really makes you question things. Some bolts are missing here and there in the engine bay. It seems like if it was hard to get the bolt back in, they didn't put it in lol. Some bolts weren't even tightened down. Edited November 8, 2008 by ColdScrip
TexasQuest
Awesome dude. Sounds like it was neglected a little from what you've found so far. Looks great tho!
TheWormForEver
I was gonna say, that shop looks an awful lot like engine machine. I've seen some 83 style hoods tucked away in a corner there b4. Go grab one now and call it manifest destiny.

Loye
Not bad for $500. I'm not sure why but people seem to think an Eclipse steering wheel is an upgrade.
Technology
It's newer. Cool car, seems like it shouldn't be too hard to figure out. Do you know why the engine is "blown"?
Dave-O
The body looks real fresh on this one! Should be a real fun project for you.
ColdScrip
It's newer. Cool car, seems like it shouldn't be too hard to figure out. Do you know why the engine is "blown"? Previous owner said it was a rod bearing, but i'm skeptical. If the motor is blown, then that should have parked the car...so whats with the clutch pedal going to the floor? You don't buy a new clutch for a car with a blown motor, if you don't plan on fixing the motor lol. So my dad and I are both interested to see what really is wrong with this car. Hoping to have the engine out Tuesday. Edited November 8, 2008 by ColdScrip
