redTSI99 Posted February 25, 2008 Report Share Posted February 25, 2008 I bought the car a few months ago under the impression that it needed new rod bearings because or rod knock...when we removed the pan we found that journals 1,2,3 were fine while number 4 was spun causing the crank to be a little eaten up...I would love to get the car up and running, but, I have another project going at the time and no need in letting the car sit and rust for the age of the car the body is in fair shap no big dents ect..and only a few small little spots of rust on the under sides of the fender..interior is black leather all power..digital climate control..radio..lights ect all work 5sp the motor has around 167 thou miles..Motor was removed crank, block, pistons and rods were taken to the machine shop..was informed that the crank was to far gone..parts have been with the machine shop for 3 months never recieved a call back about the parts and dont really have the time or want to find anything out..so im selling the car for cheap...still have head, turbo, oil pan, valve cover ect..only thing missing is crank block pistons and rods.. asking $500 need gone pretty quick so let me know contact me if you want to look at the car here are a few pics if they dont work let me know and i will post more up... http://www.26liter.us/gallery/thumbnails.php?album=489 the car is located in kingsport Tennessee 37660 Quote Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
