Earl
so i found a picture of an evo with the exact color that i have pictured in my mind for my valve cover. i just don't know what the colors name is exactly. it;s a factory color and it needs to be engine enamel. here's the link: http://www.tunerzine.../1/images/9.jpg can someone please help me find the paint=) i'm going to pair it with bronze accents and heated stainless shields and cooling plate. maybe a few white parts in the mix too:)
Burton
I assume you're talking about that marroonish color of the VC on the car, nit the white color on the body of the car? If you were looking for the white paint code it would be easy, but to find the VC paint code, you'll have to find the color in Mitsubishi's body manual from that car which will show not only body color codes, but also interior color codes and trim color codes. I have no clue where you might find that, unless some EVO site out there has that info. Otherwise, you may have to go to a body shop at a Mitsubishi dealer and see if they can find the info for ya. Earl
yeah indexes are hard because i can find one that has swatches next to the color names=/ and yes the maroonish:) is that your starquest in your signature?
Burton
yeah indexes are hard because i can find one that has swatches next to the color names=/ and yes the maroonish:) is that your starquest in your signature? Yes, that's my car in my sig- well one of them anyway, they seem to keep multiplying. The thing with the paint code swatches, or chips or whatever you want to call them is that usually, they only show the extrior body paint codes. Yo need to be able to get at the OEM trim paint codes to find the proper color. I'd guess that color on that valve cover is a trim color rather than a body color, so even if you find a body color code that is close, it might not be the same. Let me dig around and see what I can find out.
Burton
Here's the best I can find, but my supplier only lists up to 2007 codes, and it only shows body color codes, not trim codes... My link That P06, and PRJ look close, but again those are body color codes and not trim color codes.

mistapickles
if you find a picture of the valve cover and post it on here, I will print it and take it to work to scan it. It'll match it to whatever paint is closest to that color. We use it to match paint to faded cars, it'll usually match it to within 1%.
Earl
I found the pic again for you=D How much would it be for just enough to paint the valve cover? It's gotta be pretty high temp too=D Thank you:) http://www.tunerzine.com/articles/1/images/9.jpg
mistapickles
You'll need about four ounces, I think the smallest amount a paint shop will sell is a pint. I need a bigger better lit picture than that one, I'll see if we have one sitting on out lot, but for now look for a better picture.
