How do you edit a Post title?

To edit the post title, just click on the first post's edit button and it should give you the option to edit the title.

Nevermind, I just tried it on a topic I started and couldn't alter the title at all.

You should be able to edit it if it is your post. Only Mods or Admins can change someone elses. Let me know if you can't edit your own.

Don't worry man. It was a trick question.

Try it now, it was turned off in the options. I don't see why you shouldn't be able to change your own subject if you started the thread. If the Mods or Ryddler objects, it will be reset to NO.

Let me know if it doesn't work.

My controls - Edit profile (left side) - Custom member title (top center)

I don't see "custom member title"

but "advanced member" does describe me :character0032:

so it's no big deal

If you go to "my controls"

Go under Personal Profile

edit "Profile Information"

Top field should be Custom member title.

You should be able to edit and save.

NEW QUESTION:

How's about what happens to the "Enable email notifications of replies" option once I've already submitted my reply without checking the box. -- a dumb move, but we all do it sometimes.

I go to edit the post and check the box like before, but this option is now gone! only the Enable Smilies & Enable Signature boxes remain!??

I tried subscribing to the forum and now get emails for every new BS thread created....no thanks on that one. ;)

matt I found a setting that changes the default to "notify" immediately. seems to work at least on the initial reply. It's somewhere in your personal settings, though - I'm working so can't direct you at the moment.
