Selling my 1988 Starion ESi-R that has 142,000 miles. The bottom end has been rebuilt with new rings and bearings and obviously new seals and gaskets. It also has a new XTD stage 3 racing clutch, water pump, Trilogy injectors, and almost new rear tires. Everything else has been checked, tested, cleaned, greased, etc. It's 99% done with only a few easy things needing to be completely finished.

Physically the car looks great and the interior is phenomenal. I have some cheap racing seats in the car right now that I don't like but everything else is original. The exterior is pretty good as well with the exception of hail dents in the hood and roof, clear coat missing from two spots on the passenger side and various small scratches and what not. I believe with a little money, touch up paint and some paintless dent repair, it will be show quality.

I love this car, it's a head turner and I rarely go out without someone stopping me to ask about it, look at it, etc. I does need some more things done that I have not gotten around to which I will list here but the car runs, idles and drive almost perfectly as is.

What needs done to make this car perfect:

-Water pump needs put on

-Trilogy injectors need put on

-Needs new radiator

-clutch leaks fluid (probably didn't get tight enough)

-CTS needs replaced I believe

-lots of hail dents on hood and roof

-wipers are slow?!?? (I've dealt with it, they do the job fine regardless)

-front tires are good but a little dry

-tail lights currently need finished (molding in round lights, just need sanded and painted now)

-Motor mounts are original but seem to be holding up just fine

-Rear rubber mounts I've been told are getting old

-Exhaust needs welded (it's just clamped right now from where it was cut to remove the exhaust manifold)

-and last! People have told me to put transmission fluid in the power steering pump, now it's hard to steer! Before when I was using actual power steering fluid it was fine. So it needs drained I believe and replaced with the right fluid.

If you live close, you can drive this car home no problem, but if you live over an hour I would bring a radiator and then drive it home.

I am asking $4000 for this car. I really want to keep it but it was part of the deal when we bought our house. I traded the tittle of the car to the owner of the house for $3000 towards the down payment. In 4 months I will have to either give him $3,000 cash or the car. I wont be able to come up with the money so I would rather sell the car than loose a grand on it.
