i know this is a 20g, and it came from a greddy kit on a 2nd gen mr2. but i know that 20g's come in all shapes forms and sizes. and i was just wondering, what kind of power this one is capeable of making.. i bought it for my '91 talon tsi, but i am thinking about using it on my quest. also, i am not sure if this is the right subforum for this. so, mods feel free to move it

In a google search I found:

Upgrade Compressor TD06H-20G 650 49179-54900

on a sy/ty page.

so sounds like a TD06 20G, with T3 inlet.

These turbos can make some good power, but it all depends on the tune and the rest of the setup.. I wouldn't waste it on a g54b though. If you dont have an aftermarket head and mpi, you wont take advantage of it. W/ tbi and/or a stock head, you will just break stuff.

well actually i do plan on going mpi. probably before the turbo is ever bolted on. my engine is built. wiseco forged pistons, shot peened stock rods, the whole rotataing assy is balanced/weight matched, balance shafts elimenated. caravan head. and i have to do a head gasket so i will probably have the head ported and a 5 angle valve job done. so yeah the motor will handle it, but if that turbo won't support 400 at the wheels, i will just sell it and buy a hx35w.

Rollo "wasted" a 20g on his g54 to the tune of 11.2 seconds. What more should a heavy 4cyl street car get from a responsive turbo ?

20G g54 on dyno page too.

Lotsa dsm and sr20 'veterans' to this day still herald the 20g as the best street turbo, period.

Heavy DSMs gone lo 11s/hi 10s. Even Hahn demo fwd (420A motor) eclipse managed a respectable 11.2, td05/20g @25psi.

The 20 has consistently proven over time what its capable of.... the rest is up to you really
