Skrilla
Hey thanks I'd love to see pics of your 1JZ swap, any advice I plan on doing one before summer? Edited October 2, 2013 by Skrilla
aconro
It was actually a fairly easy swap. Vettekiller's motor mounts made it a breeze. Also make sure to look through the other threads on the site, there is lots of good info.http://i1202.photobucket.com/albums/bb380/aconro/1jz%20Conquest/2012-11-22_01-50-59_682.jpgFor some reason, i don't have a pic of the engine all put together, but this is very close.http://i1202.photobucket.com/albums/bb380/aconro/1jz%20Conquest/2013-08-14_13-44-53_165.jpghere is a pic of it all together and moving again. I'm very glad i did this swap, the motor runs very smooth and sound amazing. Best of luck with your swap.

aconro
I'm running a R154 out of an MK3 supra. It has the mechanical speedo and the shifted in the right location. Some R154s have a sifter extension that puts the shiftier to far back in our cars.

dmdvzla
I had a Ford Sierra Sapphire RS when I used to live abroad. It wasn't the Cosworth edition with the 2.0L turbo engine, but it did have the 2.8L V6 ford engine.(almost like the Scorpio's 2.9L) It sounded beautiful!. It was my toy! I sometimes wish I could import one to the states....but the import car laws are a bit crazy.
Skrilla
There's a few Cossies here some 3 doors as well as 4 doors.
dmdvzla
There's a few Cossies here some 3 doors as well as 4 doors. In the NY area?.....I wonder what they had to do to be able to register them. Last time I was very serious about importing a car, I read the laws and regulations....it was just too overwelming. There was a need to even modify the bumpers, emissions sys, etc. So, the Scorpio is your daily driver?....do you drive it even during the winter months? Skrilla
There is 1 or 2 Shapphires in CT and some 3 doors floating around they keep changing hands so not sure where they are now.I drove the Scorpio last winter but I bought me a hoopty now so not this year.If a car is X amount of years you can bring it in the country, rumor has it the Cossie is now legal.
