Burning oil at high boost like crazy
By wrngwae,
presently im running a TD05H 16G in a bored stock hot side. im MPI at about 15 psi. if im at 5psi boost or so fairly easy in the throttle it seems ok. but if im WFO and 15psi it looks like im a diesel tractor at the fairgrounds doing a pulling event out the tail pipe. since rebuilding this motor after blowing it up, i have been using oil constantly. but i do not notice it smoking at idle or mild boost so im unsure if it turbo seals or not? i did put a new bearing and seal kit in it but, it still
TEP S16g vs Evo3 16g
By bha280,
I have a Top End Performance Super 16g on my car now and have another turbo getting some port work done (by BogusSVO). He has an Evo3 16g in the shop that I am considering using with my exhaust housing that he is porting. My questions are: Will an Evo 16g out perform my S16g? And, should I go with the Evo center cartrige, do you think the cold side housing from my S16g will fit? I'm not sure of everything that goes in to making the stock turbo into a S16g, which is what I think TEP does. Thanks
How to CC a Combustion Chamber
By BogusSVO,
How to CC a Combustion Chamber The subject head is a Chevy LT1 Head The first set up is used when the valves do not protrude above the gasket surface. This is simple in procedure. Fill the CC burette with a fluid, I use water, some use a color alcohol, cover with the sealing plate, then flow the fluid through the hole in the seal plate till all air bubbles are out of the combustion chamber. Then read how much fluid has flowed from the burette. This stock head measured 54cc http://i261.ph
