I still can't answer that... weight reduction? based off the section I weighed on the scale in a plastic bag I would say the total amount of tar would be roughly 45 - 60 lbs if it were all lumped up in a ball.   It's really easy to get off once it's HOT. Luckily I live in AZ so it only took a few hours in the driveway with the doors/windows shut to reach optimal scraping temp.
