I'm running 118octane and I'm trying to push the engine as far as I can with the gm mass and 18g. My question is this, if the initial timing is set to say 18 BTDC will the timing retard pull that 18 deg, or will it still be the same 10degrees or so that we started with.I've searched this and there is alot of good info but nothing clear cut enough for me to actually figure this one out .
