Hey guys, still having woes getting my stock setup on a built motor to run right.     Starts idles fine, warms up then steady, fans all coming in OK too. Gradually press pedal standing revs rise OK. Try to move away, accelerate more than a snails pace or snap throttle open she just dies. Standing or moving. She'll slowly accelerate through gears to around 50mph as long as the rpms don't go much above 2500. Needle hits 0 pressure she coughs and pops.       Forged and balanced short motor, pauter

any one have connecting rod torque specs on a briggs 16 hp engine

Hey all,   I am chasing a no spark issue on an 86 widebody. The tach does not jump when cranking. I immediately thought it was a knockbox issue, so I replaced it with what I am pretty sure is a good knockbox, However, it did not change anything. The car has power to the coil. I disconnected and cleaned the connections and relays near and underneath the battery box and no improvement.   Is there a way to definitively test the 86/87 style knockbox? Id love to swap a known good in from a running
