white smoke oil cloud
By dukaine,
I had noticed some white oil smoke the last few days and today coming home from work something went caput. Still runs fine but lots of white smoke coming out the back. I am guessing something with the turbo but I'm not real knowledgeable with turbos. It has a modified stock turbo with bigger turbine and was ported etc. It was still all set to stock settings. KYB GR-2 Rear struts
By Dred_85.5_TSI,
I have a pair of used KYB GR-2 rear struts that came off my 84. They still work well compress and extend like the new replacements I put on the car. All the threads are in good shape, the mounting flange is flat and the brake line brackets are intact. Part numbers 235003 & 235004. I'd like $75 OBO plus whatever shipping cost is. http://i632.photobucket.com/albums/uu41/Dred_85-5_tsi/DSC01759_zps34ca8bf7.jpg http://i632.photobucket.com/albums/uu41/Dred_85-5_tsi/DSC01758_zps45da8006.jpg http:
MK1 Rear camber plates
By Dred_85.5_TSI,
Found these rear camber plates that I won't be using, I do have the nuts and spacers that go with these. They do work with D2 coilovers, NudeLobster had these on his car with the D2s and they worked fine until we switched them out for the D2 plates. Mookeeh still sells these new http://www.ebay.com/...b995101&vxp=mtr I'll be asking $80 OBO shipped, which is effectively $30 off. http://i632.photobucket.com/albums/uu41/Dred_85-5_tsi/DSC01753_zpsa3a24a5d.jpg http://i632.photobucket.com/albu
The Perils Of Motorcycle Ownership
By NikoFab,
(Check out the pics on my CBR thread here: http://www.starquest...60#entry1423252) So I'm on my way to an appointment yesterday afternoon. I'm in the left lane of the feeder road, queuing up to get on the freeway. Doing about forty five miles an hour, about six car lengths behind the car in front of me, when I feel the rear of the bike squirm...the next thing I know is I'm airborne. Bright flash of the sun going across my view, followed by two loud smacks. The bike hitting the pavement was
