    clear/lacquer coating sanblasted aluminum?

    Mech
    By Mech,
so i sandblasted an aluminum part today, sprayed some clear coat on it.....looks nice, but it came out darker than the original unfinished aluminum....like a gray color.   how can i keep the bright/light look of the original aluminum after sand blasting it? the metal is just too tarnished to get the look i want just by cleaning it....tried that. suppose could just paint it a color that matches it....but seems silly to do all that when it i get the look i want by sanblasting it...

I posted in the newbie section when I bought this car a few months ago for my son. Well, I had second thoughts on putting him in a small quick car, so I am going a different direction. It is a roller with no motor or transmission, it was a 5 speed. PO did buy some automatic parts because he was going to put one in. Inside is black cloth in excellent shape, I have a couple boxes full of parts. Also he told me the spare rear rims were the zero backspacing hard to find rims(not sure on this).

Best way to tie down my car.

I haven't trailered my car 800 miles before so I'm looking for a little advice. Of course I have no tow hooks because I'm retarded. My car is also pretty low. Just wondering what most people do in the front as far as an anchor points. Thanks for the advice fellas.   Bradn
