I have a 88 conquest, and i need a auto transmission for it. i heard that a transmission from a truck would work also, would it really bolt up?. If anyone has one please let me know, or if you know more details about a truck transmission. Thanks

I began the process of tuning my sds today and I am having a hell of a time. I started with the igntion numbers I found on here that chad posted and I couldn't get above 2500-3000 rpm with out spark knock. So I tried the ones I found from boosted one and those didn't work either, so I started backing off the timing and got it to rev at 15psi to 4k no problem but when I hit that 4k mark it senses knock and retards my timing, causing the car to fall on its face.
