  3. put new injector seals on about a year ago when i swapped from ridiculous trilogy injectors back to stock (as rest of car is stock) started leaking like crazy a few weeks ago, turning the key to try and start and the throttle body under the injectors is wet and whole engine bay smells of fuel. still starts and runs but i prefer my car to not be like my mixtape. any ideas? waiting on another set of seals thanks

  5. Ok so Ive been having an issue that is slowly getting worse, no matter what I do to trace it... Have a "spoon in the coffee can" type rattle coming from the valve cover, at around 2200-3000, and the rattle will back off if I full throttle it, and never has no problems on decell. The new parts... New cap, new rotor, new plug wires, new oem heat range plugs, and plugs are gapped now at .035", new coil. Timing is set at 10 degrees BTDC, new fuel filter, oil filter, oil is 10w-30 and right on the money w/ the dipstick. Now that its getting hotter out the rattle is increasing. Now, sounds to me like pre-ignition, so I upped the gap to the maximum of .04" and it ran like uber s***, and actually started misfiring and then a no start condition. Pulled the plugs back out, and they were fuel soaked and fowling. Put, the plugs back to the .035" gap, and now its back to running normally. Now, this problem didn't occur until this last tune up, so I put everything that I had just pulled off, minus the plugs and the rattle didnt improve at all. The vehicle is a low mileage, (79k) 89" with all stock components. Being an 89' it has auto lash adjusters, but it sounds just like a bad valve lash thats getting more, and more sloppy every day. Three question then... #1 Where can I place a manual fuel pressure gauge to ensure I have the proper pressure as it fuel soaked the plugs once I put the gap to the max.... Now, Ive never heard a noise like this because of too much fuel, usually just the opposite. #2 Is it possible to pull the valve cover, and run the vehicle, like you can on any old motor? Ya, I know its gonna be slinging some oil, but is it high pressure in the valve cover? #3 Any one had this type of concern before, with hydraulic lifters? ...Never floated the valves, and highly doubt theres a bent valve, as the rattle will go away on both decell and WOT. No blow by what so ever. Any thoughts would be much appreciated!
  6. I think I have my issue nailed down. Car does not start, will sometimes run on secondary injector. Spark and fuel are good up to the injectors. My oil is heavily diluted with fuel. the FPR is good, holds vacuum, dosent leak gas The spark plugs were fowled badly and replaced, I noticed a small drop of fuel off primary injector. While cranking both injectors spray HARD. Seems to be a very small leak, if any, out of the primary. Could a very small leak dilute the oil that much, and prevent the car from starting by flooding engine with fuel? Also, what should injector spray look like while cranking?
  7. hey guys thanks for all your help but im still puzzled on this car hesitating on the highway after 65mph. I have changed the sparkplug wires (plugs still look good so did not change them) i have changed the O2 sensor which made a difference but it still hesitates after 65 anc it does not backfire anymore just bogs down and picks back up then it bogs again. could it be a fuel problem. thanks
  8. Just wondering the benefits of this setup? also would this be a bad idea for a car that is drivern fairly often?   9. Need a set of Fuel Injector clinic fuel injectors for my 87 Starion.
  10. So I drove my Conquest to a BP gas station the other day to get it filled up (Because they have 93 octane). (It was down by the "E" on the gauge.) I set the small metal lever on the nozzle, so it would pump by itself. Then at around $14, it shutters and stops pumping. With today's gas prices, I'm sure you're all aware that there is something wrong here (Especially with 93 octane fuel). So I set it again to pump and it stops again, this time, at around $32. I set it again and it stops at $46. I was getting fed up with the pump, so I decided that was all I needed. Sorry that I didn't keep track of how many gallons were actually going into the tank. The first time I filled up, it cost me over $50, and I didn't have this issue. What is going on here?
  11. I have a set of used Trilogy 650/950 injectors. They have been on my car for about 8 months. around 5k miles on them if that. They work fine. I just pulled them out since im running larger injectors due to the rest of my build. the stickers are kind of coming off but you can tell what they are and which is which due to trilogy writing (950) on the correct one. Will come with spacers needed as well to make this bolt right up to the factory fuel rail. these go for about $175ish new. Looking for $105 shipped in the U.S. Paypal is Detriuch@gmail.com
  12. I have a used Airtex E 8000 Fuel pump for sale. I only ran this on my car for a few thousand miles. My factory pump was whining so i purchased this from Advance auto i believe while i was mostly still on the 12a. It even kept up with my larger turbo on low boost. No issues just upgraded to a Walboro 255, so no need to keep this one. Good for someone that just needs a replacement for their worn out one and wants to save cash. I will throw in some extra hardware that came with it and other things i didn't use. I paid about $106.00 for it new. Looking for $65.00 shipped in the U.S. Paypal is Detriuch@gmail.com
  13. I have a brand new Delphi 95lb injector from Racetronix. It just came in this week but i ended up going with a different injector combo. The top part does look different compared to my Trilogy's (the top part is hard plastic not soft bushing) so im not even 100 percent sure it will bolt right up. But was told by a member that they where really the same thing. You may want to double check on their site before purchasing. Anyway i spent about 65 shipped. Looking for 45 shipped!!   14. Busted the factory fuel supply line from the pump to the filter tonight. Does anyone have any good recommendations as to what to replace it with? Can't find anything in factory replacement. Need help quick! Car is DOA right now witht this.
  15. Ok...here's the problem. The car runs great with a slight miss from i believe valve train. The problem however isn't the way it runs...it's the poor gas mileage. Out of $15 in gas (about 4 gallons) i got 50 miles before running out on the side of the road. That's about 12 mpg. I KNOW that's not what these cars run. My fuel pressure is good and my injectors don't leak whatsoever as well as a good and set TPS. I have done some light mods as my finances are tight which includes a homemade boost controller, a modified stock mas (about to get a 1g this weekend), bosch high flow fuel pump, no secondary airbox, no first cat (still need to take out the second cat), and disabled jet valves (need to get the bolts but in the meantime i've taken out the adjuster). Also, my gauge doesn't read accurate at ALL. I'd like this solved as well but i want the MPGs fixed first. Thanks, Charles C. Palka
  16. Ok so i traded a friend my 95 GST for his 87 Quest with a built engine but had blown the 14g that was on it. After that was said and done he put a E316g on it and it runs great but after you hit 10psi it spits and sputter like its hitting fuel cut. But earlier tonight it hit 15psi before that happened. So i am wondering what can be the cause of this problem? Because I plan to put a Dual stage boost controller on it and have high boost set to 20psi and low boost at 12psi. Also its not a stock 87 ecu from what ive been told. Also the Gas pedal is stiff as heck, it doesnt have the stock throttle cable its a universal the same friend put in, so i am wondering if i put a stocker back on it would it fix the stiff pedal?
  17. hey guys for some reason im not getting fuel past the fuel injectors ive tested the injectors and they spray replaced the ballast resistor pack knock box and injector clips and a ecu the only thing about the ecu is that its an 83 and my starion is an 84 i cannot figure out why it woul;d do this it ran fine and then started doing this any help would be appreciated.
